Young Voices

Shamshir Foundation

Shamshir Olive Hannay is a Year 5 student at St Paul’s Lutheran School, Adelaide, with a passion for the arts, leadership and community service. As a member of her school’s Student Representative Council and the Australian Girls Choir, she embraces opportunities to express herself, contribute to her community and connect with others.

Alongside her mother, Shamshir actively participates in community events and fundraisers, particularly those supporting Multicultural communities in South Australia. She also contributes to initiatives promoting multicultural cricket and inclusion through sport.

As a Shamshir Foundation’s Young Voice, Shamshir hopes to see more visually impaired children enjoying cricket, making friends and celebrating every run, wicket and victory. She believes the best part of sport is that everyone deserves a chance to play.
